I never liked the iPhone. I always thought it was overrated. In fact, i still think it is. The functions, you can get on so many other "common" brands.
BUT!
I got it anyway. Besides, them other phones don't have such good touch sensitivity. And there are pretty cool apps too. I'm not just rationalizing. Cause when you think about it, an iPhone is a phone (RM500) plus an iPod (RM500) plus [almost] a PSP (RM1000) plus a lousy camera (RM250) and lots more. So when you add them all up, the price you pay for it in the end, I've got one word for you folks...

So, mum came down to visit me yesterday so we went out shopping. I got a few tees. One from United Colours of Bennington and two from Fila. We were supposed to get my postpaid settled for Singapore so we went to Singtel and the next thing you know, viola! Tan Wei Yi, the latest addition to the iPhone 3G family. Or you could say the newest, proud, not arrogant, ownder of black, 16GB iPhone 3G. X)
Why didn't I get white? Cause I like black. How much I got it for? $458 (RM1099, much less than the approx amount [RM2250] you have to pay for if you get all the above mentioned gadgets) with a 2 year Singtel mobile contract, going at $50 a month, inclusive of 300 minutes, free unlimited SMSes and free unlimited IDD calls! Local charges still apply. But yeah, it was supposed to be $508 but maybe cause it was Valentine's, they gave me $50 off. Yay me! Or rather mummy cause she gets to pay less. LMAO. But anywho, yay me!
What's it like to unpack an iPhone 3G? Heavenly. I didn't record it like how i recorded my Mac's opening ceromony though... I thought it was pretty lame. Fun, good for memory's sake, but lame. Hehe... But that's what I'm good for right?
Wow... i've finally got a phone that doesn't have a sign saying "Ancient Artifact" splashed all over it and a phone that isn't meant to be displayed in the museum. Not that I have a problem with my old phone... but why say "no" to new gadgets right? It's like saying no to electricity... Speaking of old phones, I remember my first phone, passed down to me from my mum, Nokia 3210. My cousin said it's supposed to be in a museum. It's either that or i use it to throw at robbers to "kill them". So, 3210, 1100, 6100... And now, =D, working well with me Mac. XD
PS. I went to Clarke Quay yesterday and it was awesome too. I saw this sign saying "Warning! The jokes you are about to hear may be rude and offensive. If you are easily offended, please look somewhere else. Or, you can go to the counter and register ..."
PPS. Never mind. It sounds lame when i say it. I'll take a picture next time. Still not used to stopping in the middle of a moving crowd to take a picture like that... I wanted to take pictures of Hooters too. But my skin still not thick enough. XD

can't text with one hand
can't use your own headphones
you have to pay for the apps
has a crap camera
totally useless bluetooth since you can't transfer files.

I said ALMOST PSP right? There are some cool apps if you buy them. Crash Bandicot is awesome! Like PSP d. PSP doesn't even have an accelerator for like iBowl. There are also lotsa other free cool apps.
Anywho, i agree with you bout the can't copy paste, forward, crap camera and bluetooth thing. But text with one hand i already can, but can't really text without looking though. =.= And there are actually some cool features like SMS-ings becomes like instant msging. They show your msgs and all. It's useful for me cause i have free unlimited SMSes. Don't forget the touch! haha. It was either a blackberry bold or an iphone. i was thinking of htc touch pro but buttons too small.
I basically got the iPhone because i wanted an iPod touch but it didn't have a camera. And might as well get a phone along with it i suppose. The price my mum paid for it costs less than the iPod touch anyway. In fact, the cameras actually pretty decent when there is enough light. And uh.. oh. recording videos gotta download app. I haven't done that yet...... XD
Besides, syncs with my mac. X)
