Feelings.

Yesterday was Orientation Night and it was a blast. There was a campfire and it was quite good. Although, it doesn't quite beat IJC campfires... Then again, yesterday wasn't supposed to be a campfire in the first place. Besides, the Rafflesian spirit is really overwhelming. Like tsunami. But instead of destruction, it makes us so setia to Raffles. Everyone was so together and all... So emo at the end of the day. But before that, the cheers were really good. So were the emcees.

I wish I had a video to keep... (BUT I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA.) It was amazing. We don't have cheers like that back in IJ. Hell, we don't even have orientation. This year's RJ orientation is called O'tiero, which means unity. Our group name was O'eoeo. =_=''' Anywho, I'm in the house called Bayley-Waddle (yellow house, the house animal is a lion and they used Lion King's Broadway Picture, you'd only know if you love TLK, like me! XD) and the war games and the station games and the EAs were extremely fun. There's this game called "Strip Me If You Can" where the committees will put pegs on the guys and the girls will have to run around in pairs trying to get it off their back. At the end of the day, the guys will be terrified by the girls. XD And the sketch about new college life was hilarious, portraying all the social groups...

Take5 was held yesterday as well... It's the day to play. We had talentime, soccer, frisbee, captain's ball, Amazing Race, PS (yes, PlayStation) and the likes. It was held in Pasir Ris Park and we even had our very own dunking booth! My group failed terribly... We spent $8, which means 12 attempts, to dunk Jon Lim. It turned out to be charity.

RJ's like, almost made for TV. Similar to those schools you see on US telly programmes. The game nights... The rooftop tennis courts... The indoor basketball court... Swimming pool, track and field, dance studios, drama studios, music room, AV room, try outs... Batch dance, batch song... It's High School Musical with a blend of Harry Potter for the houses and with a blend of Princess Diaries for the rooftop tennis courts and with a blend of One Tree Hill for the drama minus the sleeping around. LMAO. We actually have like a common room for the houses. Anywho, we should really start something. I miss them IJ girls. When you think about it, two years down the road, I'll be missing them Raffles peeps. The missing never ends, we're always living in some place else.

Tennis. I forgot how sweet water tastes after a game of tennis. It was good. But i'm very rusty. Very inconsistent and very unfit. I'm the worst on the team. Well, try outs are next Wednesday so technically, I'm not in the team. So depressing.

Anywho, I'm off to do laundry now. Collect actually... I didn't separate my colours... Well, actually I did, but I didn't wanna do 2 rounds. Waste money. So yeah... Hopefully it turns out alright.

Cheerio!

PS. Yes, it's my first time doing laundry. It's not so bad I suppose.......
PPS. The other house animals are really cool, Green (Buckle-Buckley) - Dragon, Red (Moor-Tarbet) - Phoenix, Purple (Hadley-Hullett) - Horse , Blue (Morrison-Richardson) - Wolf, and us Yellow (Bayley-Waddle) - Lion. The posters are really cooooool. So are the house cheers. I like HH's. ^^
PPPS. The houses are named by the... prominent people who got the school started I think. The first half of the name are actually like the name of the houses of Raffles Institution, which is the secondary boys school, the second half belongs to Raffles Girls School, which is for the secondary school girls. So when they get to RI(JC), they combine.
PPPPS. We also get a lot of cool shirts!
PPPPPS. Cool eh? Told you I very setia d. XD
PPPPPPS. Clarke Quay is awesome!
