I'm not a Batman fan. Seriously.

So, Adrian, Julie, Will and I caught the midnight screening for The Dark Knight that ended just a few moments ago and it was out of this world. Heath Ledger was more than just sensational. Poor dead guy... How can he be dead? How can he be dead when I have so much hearts for him and his character? Gah! The movie was so good that I don’t wanna watch any other flick... The Mummy? Nice, but... Gee... I’ve been sucked into Gotham City. The Dark Knight was wicked. The casting was remarkably too impressive for words. You see, we’re talking about Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman. It was as if Heath Ledger wasn’t enough of a perquisite. Too bad what’s her name...? The Gyllenhaal sister wasn’t hot. *Scrunches Nose* Ok. Her name’s Maggie Gyllenhaal and she’s not THAT bad lah. I guess she was hot in some weird way. Her performance had substance and it was probably much better than Katie Holmes. I really cared for her and I felt an impact when she was gone. She was terrific.

Okay, back to the movie. This is the first movie EVER, where I stayed for the credits to roll till the end. We were the last few in the Cineplex. Gah! Heath Ledger! I heart you! Drugs were stupid to kill you. The Joker... What will another Batman movie be without your Joker? Not like I watched any of the other movies... But. Gah! Heath Ledger!! It was 2 and a half hours worth paying and wasting my youth for. Although, I suppose I wouldn’t consider that as wasting my youth but rather, nourishing my soul. Heath Ledger’s performance is definitely not some sorta cheap thrill; it was solid. Heath’s Joker will not only knock you off your sit and hit you at the surface but he would effortlessly get into your mind and reach you in a different level as well. In fact, the best part is that the thrill doesn’t go away once the scene is over; that psychotic sociopath really gets you thinking.

Again, Heath Ledger was absolutely extraordinary, phenomenal and monumental. In fact, he portrayed his character so well that I’m absolutely besotted with his character. The thing is, I like the fact that The Joker doesn’t seek revenge. The Joker has a “better taste” for crime and he does it just for fun! His methods are unpredictable and incalculable. He does things according to his own twisted sense of logic and he does not desire money. I don’t have enough or any bombastic vocabulary for him so I would simply say that he is utterly bemazing – beyond amazing. Truth is, I hate clowns. He’s the first of his kind that I love. Intimidating and chilling; yet comical. You know, Batman has frequently been tempted to put the Joker down once and for all but always relent at the last minute. Almost just like Batman, The Joker has given up many chances to kill him because the Joker’s obsession with Batman is unique compared to other villains; the Joker shows that he does not hate Batman and even considers him as a friend. Insane doesn’t even begin to describe this man, if you can even consider him one. I’m so thankful DC Comics and Bob Kane created the my dearly worshipped Joker. Perhaps now I can go become Harley Quinn! XD

Anyhoots, Heath Ledger... Awesome. Wicked. Superb. Mind-blowing. Jaw-dropping. Marvellous. Not forgetting all the other synonyms ever invented like incredible. In fact, if you’ve seen the movie, you’d definitely find it not surprising at all when he wins an Oscar for Best Actor. It is a true tragedy to see such a talented young actor fall at such a tender age. They say the good die young... BUT HEATH LEDGER WASN’T GOOD! He was brilliant and he’s only 28. Just think about all the greatness in store for him and his right to be the best that any whiz like him could possibly be and reach the ultimate dream that he deserves; practically owned. Every scene he has been in is stolen. His gift is boundless. I’m so going to miss watching him on the silver screens. Heath Ledger will so be missed... *Moments to Contemplate*

I contemplated till I fell asleep. Damn hard to get Heath Ledger outta your dreams man. I slept till 2pm. XD

Well, returning to the land of the living, Christian Bale did a tremendous job as well. His performance was both spectacular and inspiring. Bruce Wayne was justified thanks to him, but above all, he is simply HOT! Too bad I was hooked and biased towards Hugh Jackman when I was watching The Prestige. How dumb. Oh, and I was watching Zodiac again on HBO today at Ayoob and Jake Gyllenhaal is soooo adorable. But again, Christian Bale! He’s so hot. Since Heath Ledger is gone, I’m going to idolise and worship him instead. Come to think about it, I might be more in love with The Joker than Heath Ledger himself. But then again, Heath Ledger kick-started it. However, Christian Bale blows my mind too! X)

In any case, Chris Nolan cannot be forgotten. He may not be as hot as Heath Ledger or Christian Bale (at all) but he was the man behind it all. The script, after all, is the one that drives this film. The dialogue was very well written and it was the centre of the conflict and the movie. Everything was so realistic that it made the movie feel less like a comic book film. Also, Wally Pfister’s cinematography is brutally stunning. Gotham looked so good, so big and so deep. There was this aura that wouldn’t have been the same without it. Hans Zimmer. How do you go wrong? And on top of that, the explosions and accidents were the real deal; it really puts you at the edge of your seat. And ya know what? Heath’s Joker was soooo adorable when he was detonating the bomb!

Gee... I guess I’m not suitable for the movie world cause I tend to be very obsessive each time I watch a damn good movie. Oh well, worrying about that would really waste my time for more Christian Bale time movies. So... Goooo Christian Bale! And Heath Ledger too. =)

Besides, why so serious?
