So many movies, so little time.

Yes, off all times, I've been bitten by the idiot-box-bug. Usually, I'd prefer movies, but Star World has brought in soooo many new TV series and I just need to watch it. 90210, October Road, What About Brian... And I've been rather hooked on CSI as well, especially New York. Just for the record, Mac is so much better than that uber annoying Horation from Miami who constantly flicks that pair of shades of his. Besides, Peyton, played by Claire Forlani who has this awesome British accent, is with Mac. Well, was anyways. Anyhoots, there is the occasional Chuck and the not-so-interesting-but-bearable Early Edition. Hmmm... I always wanted to watch Gossip Girl but I haven't crossed paths with it yet.

So, today, just after a little bit of history (yes, my dear friends, I too do study), i watched 90210!

[Left to Right: Navid, Ethan, Naomi, Annie, Dixon, Silver/Erin]

In a nutshell, 90210 is the continuation of the 90s hit teen drama series, which made 90210 the most popular zip code across America. It starts off with Harry Wilson, prolly from the sort of original 90210 (this series is technically 4th season) decides to come back to Beverly Hills with his wife - Debbie, daughter - Annie and adopted son - Dixon. (Yes. Dixon is African-American.) Yes, Harry moved to Kansas at some point in time. Perhaps 20 years ago. But before he moved, he was the typical jock who played lacrosse (Yes. WTF!? Is that even a sport?) and he was the bad boy babe magnet of West Beverly Hills. (Don't ask me about East, there's no story yet.) So yeah, he changed, he comes back to Beverly Hills from Kansas and he takes on the position as West Beverly Hills High's principal and the story pretty much revolves around his family. And guess what? Harry's mum, who's probably 60, famous back in her time who still stays in Beverly Hills, is such an arse! She's so bitchy... I doubt she likes Debbis much. Poor Debbis... =/

Anyway, gosh, you should see the cars these 16 year olds drive. BMWs, Mercedes, Lamborgini, Aston Martin... It's just so wow.

But yeah, back to the show.

(Warning: The following may contain some spoilers.)

It starts of with a huge and fast moving plot. Annie, cool and popular back in Kansas, starts hanging out with the hot and spoiled rich girl (comes with the package, doesn't it?) Queen Bee (who obviously rules the social scene) of West Beverly, Naomi, who is obviously dating the lacrosse jock (again, WTF!?), Ethan. Annie experiences super culture shock. She also gets to know this girl, Silver (call her Erin and she doesn't respond) who is the arch enemy of Naomi. Naomi's the typical plastic who buys her friends and Annie's the fool who (accidentally) does her homework. Who wouldn't be the arch enemy of Naomi? But she does demonstrate a softer side of her, already in the first episode. *Weird* Anywas, Matthew, the cool English lit teacher busted Naomi. Harry handled it well. He should be my school's principal. Well, Annie sings too. He character is... interesting. Her acting is a tad inconsistent, but I suppose it's still to early to tell whether she's good or not. Oh, apparently, she had a thing with Ethan when she visited her grandma, Tabitha here in Beverly Hills 2 years ago. You see, Annie's grandma is friends with Ethan's grandma. But anyway, Ethan has as much self conflict with himself as the characters have with each other. He likes Naomi, he likes Annie, he can't make up his mind. Oh, and Debbie, Harry's wife, would probably have all the reason in the world to be inferrior, although she is quite attractive and her feelings have yet to surface, I'm sure it would. Harry had something going on with Naomi's mum back when he was still schooling there. Naomi, super bitch, keeps cooking up excuses for her daughter for not doing her homework. Anyway, she, already in the opening episode that i stress so much, exposes to Harry that they had a kid together and she given it up for adoption because she thought he did not want to be with her.

So much is revealed in the first episode, i sure do hope they have enough to keep it up...

Cheerio!

PS. Navid's the school's juice squeezing newscaster.
PPS. The characters don't quite look their age.
