iWatched: The Covenant

I remember watching this with Jeanne, Tricia and Julia 2 years ago. I can't believe i forgotten how hot those guys were. Perhaps I had no talent for appreciating hot guys back then or perhaps i just forgot. But anywho, it's showing on StarMovies now. I just happened to watch it yesterday. (PS. No more stupid nilai(s) to memorize anymore! I can be orang tak bermoral now! Yay!!)

This movie is about 4 (seriously hot) wizards - Caleb, Reid, Tyler and Pogue. They are the descendants of the Ipswich bloodline (obviously a family of wizards), and hence, they are referred to as the (super smexy) Ipswich brothers. Caleb and Reid are really reaaaaally drop dead gorgeous. Anyway, there were actually 5 founding families that committed to the silence to protect themselves against the witch hunters. Along the centuries, the powers have been transmitted through their descendants, their first male heirs to be precise. These men (how sexist), will ascend to a higher power once they reach 18. So why 4 brothers? Apparently, one of the family was killed in the Salem witch hunt. In actual fact, however, that family lusted for more power, as such, they were banished, leaving their bloodline to disappear forever... Or so they thought. (PS. I forgot to tell you that there's going to be some spoilers. ^^)

I suppose you can easily figure out the plot now. Since the use of magic is ,well, seductive, the 5th (not so hot) wizard dude shows up, battles all 4 of them for power. The thing is with this guy, he lost his parents when he was 2 so he didn't know about the powers... That made him even more addicted to it. So, 4 against 1. Easy peasy? No. That won't be simple because you know how evil is always stronger than the good (at first), right? Well... That's partly because the 5th dude is already 18. Anyway...

The movie's plot isn't as captivating as the guys. Truth be told, without the guys, a good reason to watch the movie till the end would be absent. The show is all about the smexy guys. Anyone who expected a thick and mind-blowing plot will find the movie short of it. The characters were a tad undeveloped and the audio was a wee bit out of sync. But I suppose the special effects were pretty decent. But I suppose it's not that bad, after all, hot guys can do magic. So I don't mind watching them again! XD Steven Strait, for example, who plays Caleb. He equals awesomeness. He reminds me of Warren Peace from Skyhigh. Guess what? After googling him, I found out he is Warren Peace who is not so peace-loving from Skyhigh. Toby Hemingway who played Reid as well, he looked familiar. Turns out, he appeared in an episode of CSI: Miami. These guys are new though... They still have a loooooong way ahead of them. But anywho, all i want to do now is post a picture of them. Yay!

So now, introducing 1 out of the 2 main reasons for this (clearly empty and non-educational) post...

Toby Hemingway!

He's name still sounds weird and uh... he looks better in the movie.

Anywho! Last but not least!!!

Steven Strait!!!!!

He's name is also a lil' weirdish. I don't really like the name Steven...

Anyways!

That will be all!

TOODLES!

PS. I might have been a bit harsh on the review because I'm not sure whether the bias factor is contributing or not. Overall, it is quite an enjoyable movie. =)
