So yeap. First day in London and I'm more or less settled here. Even though it's not where I'm gonna be staying when I'm in UCL. Currently bunking at my mum's friend's place. And it's nice. Cosy. Awesome location. It feels like I'm in a movie. Oh and we went out for the famous Four Seasons roast duck for me first dinner in London. It was yummyyum. So yeah.. I like what I'm having, I like what I'm seeing, and I like where this is going. :))
Weather has been great in London. (I'm surprised to see blue skies, quite frankly.) Mum and I went out to get our banking stuff done today. A little chilly, wore a scarf for the first time today. I got it from Pull & Bear with Ollie and co., back in Singapore. Didn't buy more back there cause I know there's gonna be lotsa Topshop and F21 and stuff here! WOOOOOHOO!
Anyway, did a little grocery shopping... and it's crazy! We got 3 items (millk, gloves, 2 tissue boxes) for £7 pounds, which is equivalent to RM35! So could have done that in RM10! Anyway, mum and I tried out the self check out counter. Kinda cool hehe. But if we had that in Malaysia (or any other Asian country for that matter), the place will go broke. Cause everyone will "forget" to check out at least 1 item per visit. (Please don't deny it if you're Asian.)
But not EVERYTHING is expensive. For instance, a bottle of Baileys/Smirnoff costs £12 pounds here, which is practically duty free in Malaysia! So I suppose it's time for me to get drunk? Teehee.
In other news, I think I'm not jet-lagged. Cause I slept at 10:40 PM, which is essentially my bedtime back home (5+ AM?). Heck, I think my sleep cycle will improve now that I'm here. Heh!

PS. Again, thank you for your thoughtful texts and tweets and phone calls. And of course, a huuuge thank you to the AWESOME bunch of people who came to send me off. That one I got picture. But will have to wait cause I left my laptop in someone else's home. XD

then leave one home so when you shuttle back and forth you save a bit on the carriage.
Hahah wtf. Anywhos, yeah I got those universal chargers at £10. Dunno whether it'll work. Cause I was looking at e-bay and I'll be in Barcelona by the time they ship it to me. Heh praying it works. If not I'll have to e-bay it.
