RC and Joel emcee-ing and starting off the night. Confetti + loads of balloons = win.
Btw, RC danced that night and Joel was in a band. They were both great. :D
Dance by Oldham Hall.
Christian and the guys (Alvin, Kevin, Dustin, Jason) performing "Sunday Morning".
Random talent alluring the crowd and dancing the night away.
As you've prolly guessed, the day did in fact came to a close as well as it began.
The night was a great one, filled with exhilarating performances. The dancers were great, especially that one Indo guy from CJC. He did something really JabbaWockeeZ like and it's amazing how he captured the crowd just like that. Did I mention he was doing a solo? Amazing.
The bands were great. I loved Bagus and Maura's performance. Marian was great too. In fact, I was introduced to this Indon guy named Edward. Gosh.. he's a real talent. It's amazing what he does with the guitar. Before the show, we were all just chilling out and jamming. Marian was playing the guitar with Edward (who happens to do lotsa fingerstyling and might I add, he's really fast) while Dustin was drumming the table and Jason was on the harmonica?! Improvising and comping away. I just go OMG at the music that comes out of their instruments. It's mind-blowing, how they can make music just like that. You know what you see on TV/films.. like one of those recesses in music schools for sensationally tuneful Einsteins, where everyone, bursting with talents, makes music with whatever they have? This was just like that, except it wasn't staged. 100% extemporized. The Indons never fail to amaze I tell ya.
Anywhos, I performed alongside Christian, Jason, Alvin, Kevin and Dustin. I don't have the group shot of us but I'm sure it'll be up on FB soon. :) So yeah.. With Christian, we did a little song that goes by the name of "Dynamite". It was something I never did before. So yeah.. it was a good experience. I had loads of fun. It was good having the crowd sing along. It was a real uh.. sight(?) seeing one raving audience take off his shirt, waving it around, climbing up on stage and jumping beside me. LMAO. Anyway, Christian then continued on with the band with "Sunday Morning". He was really good on stage, natural performer who clearly enjoyed himself.
So yeah.. I think our performance went preeeetty well. I wouldn't say the performance was my best but I suppose it could have been worse. I think I did alright.. although I could barely hear myself. At the end of the night, some one even approached me for my autograph. LOLTTM. But I didn't have a pen. Nyon and Anas says I should carry a pen wherever I go from now on. Teehee~
After the performance, I hit the floors with the rest of the guys. It was gooooooood. I miss dancing, although there wasn't much actual dancing going on cause we were just jumping and headbanging (till my neck's sore) and stepping most times. But it was good. I missed that. I miss prom! It would have been totally awesome with the girls back from high school. It just feels so weird without them. I suppose it's also cause I barely knew anyone there.. most of the RIBers didn't come.. sadface. (Side note, I met Stacey! Haha.)
Bleh. Lazy type summor. Bottom line: ASEAN Dance was epic. St. James Power station is epic. I had a blast. Words ain't enough to describeeeee how good it was. :D
