Rachael Yamagata. American. Father's a Jap; mum's of Italian and German descent. Dad's a Harvard grad, now an attorney; mum's an artist/painter. They're divorced. She grew up dividing her time between them.. Tough luck. But oh well, she has a twin brother! How cool is that? :D

K. Enough about her family and more about her. She's got this blues rock thing going on and I absolutely love love love her! Her songs have been featured on TV shows like "One Tree Hill", "The O.C." and "Grey's Anatomy" and we all know how amazing their soundtracks are. Teehee~

Anywhos, she writes her own music, she plays the piano and the acoustic guitar. Her vocals are dark and smokey and unique. Reminds me of Priscilla Ahn.. Fiona Apple.. A Fine Frenzy... and a light touch of Adele / Joss Stone / Melody Gardot? Haha. I can't seem to find someone that resembles her 'cause I guess she's just special like that? :]
